WHY MAKE FASHION SUSTAINABLE?

SUSTAINABILITY BY DESIGN
For us, our sustainability vision starts with Design. From the get-go, we work to close the circle on waste, resource depletion, and carbon emissions by considering material, purpose, and end of use destiny for each style.WHY MAKE FASHION SUSTAINABLY? IT'S NOT SIMPLY A FEEL GOOD EXPERIENCE; IT'S ABOUT DOING GOOD
A sustainable economy has significant overlapping benefits. It develops and reinforces economic equality and focuses on the quality of life of everyone involved. It brings together positive economic, social and environmental benefits, both land and sea.

WE'RE ABOUT RESPECT
Sustainable Fashion is about respecting people and the planet. And it gets down to human rights. Shouldn’t it be a human right to live in confidence wherein the natural environment of our communities supports equality, health, prosperity, and dignified living. The UN Sustainability Development Goals, with 196 countries signed on, intend to do this. We intend to do our part, in our neck of the woods.ENVIRONMENT WITH A CAPITAL “E”, WHERE WE LIVE, WORK, LEARN AND PLAY
Consider those communities that are most negatively impacted by unsustainable industry: the take, make, waste, dispose model of business.Industry and landfill are commonly set up as neighbors along the fence-lines of low income and marginalized communities. The noise, traffic, waste and emissions naturally have the greatest negative impact on these neighboring communities. On a global scale, this social and environmental degradation negatively impacts upon us all. With indiscriminate spending, we all give our support in fueling this abusive economy.
THE BIG CLEAN UP
Sustainability in Fashion is the beginning of a big clean up, and much more. It starts with the Brands and their sustainable approaches. It then extends around the globe throughout the resource base where it begins to positively impact the fence-line communities that supply the workers who make fashion come to life. It finally swings back to all of us as finished product offered at retail. What we should expect for our participation is elevated product that is sustainably working to bring health and opportunity to society and the environment.
SUPPLY & DEMAND
Only increased demand of more sustainably made consumer goods will positively influence a sustainable supply chain. Herein lies our commitment.
